Welcome Workplace Survivors!

This is a site for solutions to problems where you work

The Woman’s Workplace Survival Guide is the kind of book you read and then wonder where it was hiding when you started your career. In it you will find advice on how to deal with everyday workplace issues that could otherwise turn into catastrophic events.

Americans consume more than 15 tons of pain killers a day. Many of those pills are popped to alleviate the stress caused by the very issues discussed in this book. The practical strategies offered will help keep workers from pill popping every time they confront a workplace issue.

Both men and women deal with the topics discussed in this book, but women seem to experience them more intensely. Women tend to have unrealistic expectations, say “yes” when they mean “no,” take criticism personally, let conflicts escalate into major battles, and fail to ask for what they want in the workplace.

Most of us play defense in our careers. We let people take advantage of us or treat us badly, hoping the boss will notice and intervene. But hope is never a good strategy. Switching to offense is critical for women. Once you decide that your career is in your own hands and that you are worthy and capable of success, your whole approach to work will change.
